  • Past Projects

    1.Thriving Together Leadership Initiative (CDAD, 2024)
    A youth-designed, community-driven event that equipped Detroit high school students with leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement skills—hosted by CDAD’s Youth Advisory Council and supported by Beebe Arts through facilitation, planning, and participatory research design.

    2. Listening: Design Ethnography Methods (UT 210, University of Michigan, 2023–Present)
    A foundational course for future urban technologists, UT 210 trains students to conduct justice-centered qualitative research. Designed and taught by Dr. Chanel Beebe, the course blends ethnography, systems thinking, and identity mapping to cultivate ethical and empathetic designers.

    3. CS4Detroit Student Leadership Team (DSLT, 2023–2024)
    An equity-centered research and advocacy program that trains high school students to investigate and influence computer science education in Metro Detroit. Beebe Arts led the youth participatory action research (YPAR) model and produced actionable insights now shaping local policy and programming.
